IMAX Superman VS Batman trailer
By now you've likely seen the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, the preview that was teased a few days ago only to be released in full early by Warner Bros. in response to a bootleg leak. The plan originally was to give fans a taste of what was to come with that short tease, building up excitement and anticipation for a big IMAX event that was to be held in theaters across the country tonight. But yeah, that bootleg...
And you know what? It sounds like it was and will be. MTV hit the first round of East Coast screenings and reports that the first surprise at the event is that those in attendance will get to see the full movie at a preview screening, for free, a week before "anyone else."
Free posters were also handed out, and Zack Snyder provided an onscreen video message for fans. But as far as the "few extra shots" that the director promised, it sounds like it comes down to about five or six seconds at the end of the trailer. "After cutting to the logo, we see a close-up of Superman’s infuriated face, " says the site. "He starts to run. Batman starts to run towards him. They jump in the air, and as they’re about to punch, cut to black." According to Snyder, this extra scene was only for the IMAX event and won't be on the trailer when it runs before other movies.
We'll have more impressions on the Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice trailer event soon. Stay tuned!
